Meet Dr. Mitchell Naito, DDS, MD, FRCD (C)

Oral Surgeon in Kelowna, BC

Mitchell grew up in Kelowna and is excited to provide care in his hometown. He moved to Edmonton to obtain his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees from the University of Alberta followed with a General Practice Residency in Dentistry at the University of Alberta Hospital. Mitchell subsequently moved to Louisiana where he completed medical school, a General Surgery Internship and his specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. 

As an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, he practices the full scope of the specialty with a passion for providing personal patient care and lifelong learning.  His surgical interests include dentoalveolar surgery, dental implant placement, orthognathic surgery, TMJ surgery, facial trauma, oral pathology and jaw reconstructive surgery.  He has written multiple peer-reviewed journal articles in the subjects of dental implants and head and neck cancer.

Outside of the office, Mitchell enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He and his wife have two sons and like to make use of all that the Okanagan has to offer.
